Why are Brazilians good at football?

Note that I am not talking about American football here! You can read more about why do Americans say soccer and not football? on this link. Here we go! I could have taken many other nations like Italy, England, Argentina or even Germany but if we take a look at who has won the most gold medals in the world cup history we find Brazil at the top of this list. They have five gold medals. No other teams can show up that number. Italy is on second place with four gold medals. This is one reason but also the interesting way of playing football. They have much more technique skills than other teams. That's why we should look at this team.

Strength...
What is best? Strong robust players or fast technique players? To be strong and robust you have to train up your strength and train hard and you will probably be like that. Quite simple. To be fast or even harder be fast with the ball and dribble some of the backs and score a goal is not easy. How do you train to be like this? It's not that simple. Maybe you have to practice a lot with the ball. Run with ball, walk with ball and you will probably get the skills with the ball. But even when we know that this is the way to do it many European players train much more on their strength than on the dribbling. Why? Is it because it's better to be strong than have good technique? Could be but I think that it's because it's easier but there can be other factors that play in.

... vs. technique
If we take a look on why do the Brazilian players not train like this? Football is very big in Brazil. Almost every child play this game. These people are poor people. They know that they can get away from the poverty if they succeed to be a football star! A child will not go to a gym to be better. They can't even afford a gym. All child want to do what's fun and that is to play football. In low age they learn fast and will improve their skills. Many of those children have poor shoes or no shoes at all. If you are barefoot it's hard to strike well but you will gain in the control of the ball. This could have some impact, I don't know. Now we have good strikers from Brazil. Roberto Carlos has the world record in fastest shot. I can guess that he had shoes when he was a child. That's not very important. We are talking about the average and then the Brazil players have good technique.

...and the winner is...
It's not easy to see if this kind of football is better than another. Maybe it's more of another world. Many European teams is not used to play against Brazilians. It's a new situation for them. That could be one reason why Brazil are good at football. The biggest reason why they are very good is probably that they love the game and that a huge part of the population is playing or involved in fotball. And it is a big country! All these factors and many more is making Brazil to one of the greatest national football teams of all time.
